It is now even easier to use in a new versatile, configurable system designed to suit all user needs. QuickFlow or AdvancedFlow options allow the user to choose the software functionality that fits their workflows.<\/p>\n<p>The Transonic\u00ae FlowXL\u00ae Flowmeter is a stand-alone touch-screen Flowmeter used during surgery with Transonic\u00ae Perivascular Flowprobes or with Transonic\u00ae Tubing Flowsensors to measure, display, capture and document absolute volume flow and other derived parameters in vessels or tubing circuits. The FlowXL\u00ae Flowmeter can be mounted on a tabletop stand or pole mounted (2 pole mounts available) or within the FlowXL\u00ae Integrated System which consists of a FlowXL\u00ae Flowmeter, a Transport Cart and an Integrated Surgeon\u2019s Display as well as an optional shelf and printer.<\/p>\n<p>Transonic Systems\u2019 FlowXL\u00ae Flowmeter, Flowprobes, and Flowsensors use transit-time ultrasound technology to measure volume flow of blood and other liquids, and derived parameters thereof, during surgical interventions and extracorporeal applications.<\/p>\n<p>Flow measurements are intended to support surgeons and other clinical staff in identifying and evaluating flow-related complications that could negatively affect the quality of their anastomosis or treatment.<\/p>\n<p>The FlowXL\u00ae Flowmeter and compatible perivascular Flowprobes are intended for use in adult and pediatric patients during surgeries (such as cardiovascular, cerebrovascular, microvascular, transplant, abdominal, reconstructive, and minimally invasive surgeries) on major and peripheral arteries, veins, and ducts; on non-aerated synthetic vessel grafts; intraoperatively where surgery is medically indicated; at intraoperative sites which admit and retain ultrasonic couplant; with minimal vessel manipulation or constriction, and where application does not unnecessarily lengthen surgical procedure.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Surgical complications \u2014 like premature graft failure due to unseen flow restrictions\u2014 can negatively affect patient outcomes and the hospital\u2019s reputation.
